The Fresh Bucks program will be returning Saturday, May 3 for its third season at all Seattle farmers markets and other locations in Clark, Jefferson, King, Skagit, Spokane, and Whatcom Counties.
Fresh Bucks provides consumers who receive SNAP benefits (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly known as “food stamps” and often referred to as “EBT”) with extra buying power. By matching up to $10 spent on each visit to one of the city’s 16 participating farmers markets and 2 farm stands, SNAP participants are able to purchase more produce from local farmers.
